Aleksei archer, the American actor and model who was born in New York City is known for her dramatic performances and her versatility. Her birthplace was St. Louis before moving to New York City a short time later. She received an art historical degree in the fall of 1991 from Barnard College in 1991. That very same year she got an entry-level job in a restaurant named An American Place for one year. Guarnaschelli began her culinary education by watching her mother edit cookbooks and test recipes. She started her career with Larry Forgione before working in several Los Angeles, New York and French establishments. Guarnaschelli was named executive chef of Butter. Guarnaschelli is an Food Network Iron Chef America contestant who competed with Cat Cora for the Farmers Market Battle of 2007 during Iron Chef America. She also participated as the season's third runner to the winner of The Next Iron Chef, and she has served as on the panel for the show ever since. Additionally, she participated on the Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast but was eliminated. In the fourth series of The Next Iron Chef, she began working as a sous chef for Iron chef Geoffrey Zakarian. In 2008, she was the host of The Food Network's The Cooking Loft with Alex Guarnaschelli in which she instructs the students in a small class teaching them how to reimagine classic recipes.
