Selena Gomez's worldwide fame as an actress and singer is undisputed. She has been involved in numerous projects, however the Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place has had the greatest success. Selena Marie Gomez, her full name is. Born on July 22 on 1992 in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett, and Ricardo Gomez are her parents. Selena's mom was only 16 at the time Selena was born. She got her first showbiz job at age 9 in the role of Gianna as Gianna in Barney and her Friends. The role was to be one of the youngsters who had the chance to play with the most well-known human-like dinosaur in the form of a purple. Selena was a part of several episodes in episodes 7 and 8 in the period between 2001 and 2003. Fun fact: Selena is not the only singer who worked on Barney and his Friends in this time period.
